David Lisett is the Gundog Handler for the Duke of Buccleuch’s Estates in Scotland. David has the distinction of winning the U.K./Irish Spaniel Championships 7 times.
Event Summary
May 14, 15 and 16 2010 Windrift Farm hosted a 3 day spaniel training clinic conducted by noted gundog trainer David Lisett of the Duke of Buccleuch's Queensbury Estate in Scotland.
Twenty six handlers and fifteen dogs of various aged attended. They came from as far away as Utah, Minnesota, Michigan, Virginia, New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Canada. David explained and demonstrated his training philosophy - bond with the pup, teach an "on-off" switch, develope natural instincts and Lots of Praise. His ability to relate to a dog and produce the desired behavior was amazing to see. Everyone finished the 3 days with minds overflowing with new knowledge. See photos from the clinic.
